I'm Fritz Gerald Zephirin. I build companies, and I write about what building actually teaches.

Fritz Gerald Zephirin is the founder of Defrilex, Prolify, AI Thinking Lab, and Vectis: multilingual customer support, finance software for operators, applied AI, and global payroll and workforce infrastructure. The work runs across a few connected areas — AI, global employment, finance, and operations — the unglamorous infrastructure other companies quietly run on.

This site is where I think in public. I'm more interested in getting things right over time than in being right the first time, so I write with the sources attached and correct entries when the evidence moves.

It's organized as an archive, not a feed. Thoughts are long-form essays. Observations track what's changing in technology, markets, and society. Lessons are what operating teaches. The Library collects the books, people, and ideas behind all of it.

If you want the argument rather than the summary, three essays carry most of it: Why I'm Building in Public explains the method, Companies Are the Real School explains where the material comes from, and The Cost of Intelligence Is Falling. The Cost of Judgment Is Not. is the thesis most of the rest depends on.
